It is reported that in recent years, Longhua District has actively deployed the new display device industry. At the policy level, Longhua District has introduced a series of support measures, including the "Several Measures of Shenzhen Longhua District to Promote the Development of New Display Industry" and the "Implementation Rules of Several Measures of Shenzhen Longhua District to Promote the Development of New Display Industry" to provide funding and support for the research and development, manufacturing and application of materials, components, key equipment and products in the fields of Mini/Micro LED and other areas.
It is worth mentioning that among the support measures, the funding amount ranges from 300,000 yuan to 7.5 million yuan, with special emphasis on supporting enterprises to implement industrialization projects of independent innovation results. For new display companies that receive high-tech industrialization post-subsidy in the Shenzhen Strategic Emerging Industry Development Support Plan, matching rewards will be given at 50% of the municipal funding amount, with a maximum subsidy of 7.5 million yuan.
Last year, Longhua District launched two batches of application for special fund projects for the development of new display industry. Two units, Liande Automation Equipment and Longli Technology, were selected into the first batch of financial support projects, with a support amount of 4.27 million.
To attract high-quality projects, we must also ensure that there is land for them to land. In order to ensure the development of the new display device industry, Longhua District continues to optimize the industrial space supply model. Among the new projects started in the second quarter of this year in Longhua District, the optoelectronic intelligent industrial park project located in Guanlan Street officially started construction.
The project has a total investment of 3.75 billion yuan, a total land area of 32,268 square meters, and a total construction area of 112,930 square meters. After completion, it will serve as an intelligent manufacturing center for new display device production, experimental testing and product incubation base, product display center, headquarters office and other supporting facilities.
In addition to policy support, the development of the new display device industry cluster in Longhua District cannot be separated from the active investment of enterprises. It is reported that the new display device industry cluster in Longhua District currently gathers more than 50 new display device small and medium-sized enterprises. It has strong advantages in key components and materials such as polarizers, small-pitch LEDs, modules, and panel manufacturing equipment. It has formed an integrated ecological system led by leading enterprises, agglomeration of small and medium-sized enterprises, and positive interaction among industrial clusters. Representative companies include Leyard, Baoming Technology, Yunbaolai Optoelectronics, and Haidemen Electronics. The cluster plans to create a high-quality new display industry chain group.
This year’s cluster certification is valid from July 10, 2023 to July 9, 2026. In principle, the identification of provincial small and medium-sized enterprise characteristic industry clusters is carried out once a year.
