This is the largest LED dome screen that has been implemented in China.
The overall display solution design is completed by Unilumin Technology.
This is positioned as the core experience space of the innovation center,
In the future, it will undertake multi-functional tasks such as cultural display and public experience for a long time.
As a new local landmark business card, the Science and Technology Art Innovation Center is not only a "cultural window" for external display, but also an "innovation engine" for internal empowerment.
During the project design process, the hemispherical dome space in the atrium has been repeatedly discussed. As the most iconic display highlight of the project, it is both a static architectural landscape and a dynamic image carrier.
——How to use display to present content without destroying the transparency of the space itself? Based on multiple factors such as building structure, viewing distance, elevation angle, safe load-bearing, and maintenance methods, the Unilumin team finally selected the UVF 7.8 series LED transparent screen.
An important characteristic of the UVF series is transmittance. It allows the dome to present images while still retaining the light and space that the building's atrium should have. Coupled with the lightweight design of 8kg/㎡, the overall structure is more controllable in terms of safety and stability.
In terms of display performance, the high refresh rate of 3840Hz ensures a stable picture, and there will be no flickering problems whether it is daily playback or audience recording. The brightness can reach up to 4500nits, and through brightness adjustment and energy-saving technology, the power consumption is controlled to about 277W/㎡. With the natural heat dissipation structure and front and rear maintenance design, the entire system can meet long-term operation needs without relying on additional refrigeration equipment.
In fact, after the project was started, it was discovered that the standardized box could not fully cover the needs of a continuous and smooth display on a hemispherical surface with a diameter of about 40 meters and an area of more than 2,000 square meters. To this end, the Unilumin team customized and developed 32 cabinets of different sizes and curvatures based on the dome structure for precise splicing in different areas.
After its official opening, this LED dome screen became the core experience space of the innovation center - the "dome theater".
Here, the audience can be surrounded by images with no blind spots and a 720° sense of visual envelopment, allowing traditional culture to no longer be "watched" but to be walked in, experienced and remembered.

At the same time, its rich cultural display and experience functions will further enrich the city's cultural heritage, enrich citizens' spiritual and cultural life, and help create a unique city business card with both industrial strength and cultural charm. From cultural heritage to urban landmarks, in the future, we look forward to Unilumin continuing to use light as a medium to develop a broader second growth curve for cities and industries.
