The establishment of the South China Sea semiconductor lighting standards alliance for the first time the United States LED lighting evaluation

Yesterday, the provincial WTO/TBT Advisory Research Center, the Quality Supervision Bureau of the South China Sea, the South China Sea semiconductor lighting standards alliance jointly organized by the United States to inform the Council, in order to protect the vital interests of the province's LED lighting export enterprises. South China Sea semiconductor lighting standards alliance is also the first official appearance.

The LED lamp TBT notification Council mainly in the United States recently released LED lamp test program TBT (TBT) Bulletin (G/TBT/N/USA/698) comments, the test procedure for measuring LED lamp lumen output, input power and relative spectral distribution method. In addition, it also provides a method for measuring the luminous flux maintenance rate of the LED light source to predict the rated life of the LED lamp.

It is understood that these Provisions are closely related to LED lamps and lanterns, while the United States is one of the major export markets of LED lamps in our province, in 2011 the province's exports to the United States LED lamps amounting to tens of billions of dollars. The notification of the United States once the formal implementation of the regulations, will likely have a greater impact on the province's LED industry.

In order to fully reflect the comments of LED industry clusters in our province on the bulletin, WTO/TBT center with Nanhai District Quality Supervision Bureau and the South China Sea area semiconductor lighting standard alliance, Nanhai District play a semiconductor lighting alliance in LED standard specialty.

The meeting, delegates of the three information content, in-depth discussion and research, the content of the notification standards involved with the international IEC standards, EU standards and national standards were analyzed and compared in detail, and the rationality, feasibility and operability of each point a number of specific comments on the report. Ultimately, these comments will be reflected in the United States by the State Administration of quality supervision standards and regulations center, in order to safeguard the vital interests of the province's LED lighting export enterprises.
