Sunshine Lighting: Philips OEM ratio will be reduced to less than 50% this year

On May 29, Sunshine Lighting’s secretary-general said that this year the proportion of Philips OEMs will drop to less than 50%, and the proportion of other OEMs will increase to 30%, and the share of its own brands will continue to increase this year.

The company stated at the 2013 performance briefing that Philips accounted for 52% of the company's customers' LED revenue in 2013, while independent brands accounted for less than 20%. In terms of gross profit margin, the gross profit margin level of OEM is relatively low, while that of self-owned brands is higher, generally with a difference of 6-10 percentage points. The net profit level is still higher than that of OEM.
In addition, the company has become a stable supplier to major downstream LED lighting manufacturers such as Philips, Osram, Lowes, Ge, and Toshiba. At the same time, the company will continue to explore the market and improve channel construction (expanding O2O channels) this year.
Sunshine Lighting stated that the company actively achieved its work goals in 2014. Based on the development of commercial lighting and outdoor lighting in 2013, it further strengthened its domestic market business development through Sunshine LED brand promotion, home and commercial LED product terminal store construction, and LED major customer project services. In 2014, it plans to invest 100 million yuan in domestic marketing.
The company's 2013 annual report shows that the operating income for 2013 was 3.169 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.22%, and the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 232 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.27%.
