Shanxi G10.5 ultra-large display panel intelligent cutting project passed acceptance

According to Taiyuan Daily, recently, the key technology and equipment research and development project for the intelligent cutting of G10.5 ultra-large display panels, a major science and technology project in Shanxi Province undertaken by CETC Fenghua Information Equipment Co., Ltd. in conjunction with universities, officially passed acceptance.

The project focuses on the core technology of precision cutting of hard and brittle materials, breaking through key technologies such as high-precision knife cutting, AOI intelligent defect detection, and intelligent production line system integration, and successfully developed the first domestic G10.5 generation intelligent cutting production line.

The G10.5 generation line is currently the highest generation production line for LCD panel manufacturing in the world. The glass substrate size is 3370mm×2940mm. The production capacity, cutting efficiency and cost behind it are more competitive.

According to reports, the project has been industrialized and has been used in batches by leading companies in the domestic electronics industry. The panel cutting yield rate has reached over 99.9%, and a total of 10 units have been shipped. Binet information shows that equipment owned by CETC Fenghua has successively won bids for LCD/OLED production lines from panel manufacturers such as BOE, TCL CSOT, and Visionox.

In addition, the project also developed an AOI defect detection system based on deep learning, which can monitor and dynamically feedback defects in real time; it also developed an intelligent production line control system for digital workshops, achieving efficient collaboration with digital workshops. Professor Wang Anhong, Dean of the School of Electronic Engineering at Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, said that the intelligent management and control system can monitor the entire product processing process in real time, realize the traceability of the entire production process, comprehensively detect and warn the operating status of equipment, and ensure the continuous and stable operation of the production line.

According to data, CETC Fenghua focuses on the research and development and manufacturing of flat panel display equipment, and has achieved full coverage of the cutting process from small to very large sizes, with a cutting accuracy of ≤±40μm, covering all specifications and sizes in the current panel cutting field.
