It is reported that Qianzhao Optoelectronics’ expansion project mainly produces red and yellow LED light-emitting diodes, with a total investment of 400 million yuan. Qianzhao Optoelectronics’ total investment in Yang has exceeded 1 billion yuan. "The expansion project is divided into two parts. One part is to renovate existing factories and office buildings and debug equipment, and the other part is to build a new power building and staff dormitories." Zhang Yinqiao, deputy general manager of Yangzhou Qianzhao Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., introduced the project situation to reporters.
At present, the renovation of the existing factory buildings and office buildings is nearing completion. It is expected that the renovation will be completed in mid-August and will be officially put into production in October. The power building is under construction on the second floor of the main body, and the foundation excavation of the dormitory building has been completed and is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
Yangzhou Qianzhao Optoelectronics is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, development, production and sales of red, yellow and orange quaternary ultra-high brightness LED epitaxial wafers and chips as well as high-performance gallium arsenide solar cells. The cost-effectiveness, production scale and product consistency of its ultra-high brightness red and yellow epitaxial wafers and chips rank first in the country.
"Red and yellow LEDs are mainly used in signal indication, display screens, landscape decoration, electronic appliances, backlights and other fields. In the future, home lighting will be our expansion direction. I believe there will be great potential in the home lighting field." Zhang Yinqiao said that this time the Qianzhao Optoelectronics expansion project added 5 Striped red and yellow MOCVD equipment will further expand the production capacity of red and yellow LED light-emitting diodes, which can reach 120,000 pieces/month, with an annual output of 1.4 million pieces. It will further consolidate Yangzhou Qianzhao Optoelectronics’ position as the largest red and yellow LED light-emitting diode production base in China, and its domestic market share will reach 60%.
Another pillar of Qianzhao's business is triple-junction gallium arsenide solar cell epitaxial wafers. Its technology has reached the leading domestic and internationally advanced levels. It has been successfully used in domestic satellites and accounts for more than 50% of the national aerospace market share. It is the largest manufacturer of gallium arsenide cells in China. The "High-Efficiency Triple-Junction Gallium Arsenide Solar Cell Epitaxial Wafer and Chip Project" applied for last year also received financial support from the provincial major scientific and technological achievements transformation.
Although Qianzhao Optoelectronics is already the largest supplier of space solar cells and the largest supplier of quaternary red and yellow light chips in China, Qianzhao Optoelectronics has never stopped moving forward. Qianzhao Optoelectronics' R&D team alone has 20 people, half of whom have master's degrees. With an elite R&D team and a complete LED industry chain in the development zone, Qianzhao Optoelectronics still has a long way to go. "We want to become the leading company in domestic red and yellow light chips and epitaxial wafers."
