Q-Pixel launches world's first full-color ultra-high-resolution Micro LED display

On May 19, Q-Pixel announced the launch of the world’s first full-color, ultra-high-resolution Micro LED display.

The Q-Pixel Micro LED display uses its proprietary multi-color Micro LED technology for the first time with a pixel density of 5,000 pixels per inch (PPI), breaking ITRI’s current record of 2,000 PPI and setting a new world record. Q-Pixel said that this technology will bring new technological innovations to the display industry, especially the AR/VR field, and can greatly improve the visual and user experience of AR/VR.

IT Home Note: Micro LED technology refers to a display technology that uses self-luminous micron-sized LEDs as light-emitting pixel units and assembles them onto a drive panel to form a high-density LED array. It can provide more accurate colors and high contrast to improve HDR and viewing effects under sub-optimal lighting conditions. It supports viewing from a wider angle. Compared with technologies such as OLED, there is less chance of screen burn-in, faster response time, lower latency, and supports higher frame rates.
