Another flagship product, MOCVD equipment, has gained a leading edge in the blue-green LED production line in the industrialization of the new generation of Mini LED.
It is reported that the MiniLED industry will accelerate production expansion in 2022, driving the growth of China Micro's MOCVD equipment business. In the first three quarters of 2022, the revenue of AMEC's MOCVD equipment in the first three quarters was 388 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of approximately 27.70%, and the gross profit margin reached 35.83%.
Among them, in March last year, China Microelectronics received a purchase order for 52-cavity Prismo Unimax® MOCVD equipment from Zhaochi Semiconductor. So far, the order quantity of this Mini LED mass production equipment has exceeded 180 cavities.
In October last year, AMEC announced that its 500th MOCVD unit in the world was successfully delivered to a domestic LED epitaxial wafer and chip R&D and production manufacturer. The equipment is also Prismo UniMax®.
At present, a series of MOCVD equipment developed by China Microelectronics Co., Ltd. have been fully put into production on the main LED production lines in the industry.
