Leyard invests 80 million yuan to participate in AI large model fund layout

On June 1, Leyard issued an announcement announcing that Beijing Leyard Investment Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, will serve as a limited partner and subscribe for 39.74% of Guangdong Dakangyuan and 2nd Phase Venture Capital Partnership with its own funds of 80 million yuan. The total target subscription size of the fund reaches 201.3 million yuan, and the core investment direction is clearly start-ups with development potential in the field of large-scale models in the field of artificial intelligence.

Specifically, Leyard Investment signed the "Guangdong Dakangyuanhe Erqi Venture Capital Partnership Limited Partnership Agreement" with other limited partners such as Dafeng Private Equity Management Co., Ltd., Beijing Rongda Intelligent Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., and Hunan Zhaowei Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Co., Ltd. on June 1, 2026.

Guangdong Dakangyuan and Phase II Venture Capital Partnership will invest in companies with development potential in the field of artificial intelligence in the direction of large-scale models. The target subscription size this time is RMB 201.3 million. As a limited partner, Leyard Investment plans to subscribe for 39.74% of Dakangyuan and Phase II with its own funds of RMB 80 million.

According to the announcement, the duration of the fund is 20 years, including an investment period of 2 years and an exit period of 6 years, which can be extended with the consent of the partners; the fund manager is Dafeng Private Equity Management Co., Ltd., and the partner has no related relationship with Leyard, its controlling shareholders, directors, supervisors, etc. This investment does not require review by the company's board of directors and shareholders' meeting, and does not constitute a related transaction or major asset reorganization. Leyard does not exercise control or joint control over the fund, and the partnership is not included in the company's consolidated statements.

It is reported that Leyard's current business is divided into three major sectors: intelligent display, cultural tourism night tours, and AI and spatial computing. The 2025 annual report shows that the AI and spatial computing segment achieved revenue of 317 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.24%, and a gross profit margin of 58.84%, the highest among the three major segments. It is an important high value-added business of the company.

In this field, the OptiTrack optical motion capture system of the company's subsidiary Natural Point continues to expand application scenarios, has served many international technology companies, and is used in many fields such as embodied robot training, large models, game production, virtual shooting, simulation, cultural tourism, sports and medical care.

In terms of consumer-level AI, Leyard has launched two new products: One is Micro LED AR smart glasses equipped with a large AI model, which weighs about 49 grams and supports more than 125 languages and accents. It has launched internal purchases and external sales in October 2025, and has cooperated with Rokid Cooperate to launch customized solutions for the B-end; the second is the AI Baji emotional companion product for fans and the two-dimensional market, which will be launched in November 2025 and will be used in concert scenes in cooperation with artist Miyori.
