LG 136-inch 4K Micro LED TV unveiled at CEDIA 2022

According to news on October 4, at the CEDIA 2022 Home Technology Expo in Dallas, LG showed off its MAGNIT 4K 136-inch luxury TV, which combines AI enhanced processing, smart TV platforms and Micro LED technology, promising to provide "home theater, digital art and entertainment experiences."

The 136-inch LG Magnit made its debut at the CEDIA 2022 show and has already caused quite a stir in the world of home theater enthusiasts. It's unclear how much the LG Magnit will cost, but it won't be cheap.

It is understood that Micro LED has the high brightness of QLED, as well as the color saturation and ability to display pure black of OLED. According to data provided by LG, the peak brightness of Magnit can reach about 2,000 nits and supports a native 120Hz refresh rate. On its back are four HDMI input ports, digital audio output, two USB input ports, and an RS232C port.

Internally, Magnit uses LG’s Alpha a9 artificial intelligence processor, which can reduce picture noise while enhancing picture quality. The screen also has a built-in light sensor for Dynamic HDR, which can increase the brightness and contrast when it detects a lot of ambient light in the room. Magnit also supports AirPlay 2 and Miracast, which can be used to cast screens on mobile phones.

In terms of sound, LG cooperated with Bang & Olufsen to bundle the Beolab 90 home audio, which has 18 drive units: 7 tweeter drive units, 7 midrange drive units and 4 bass drive units, which can output sound in all directions. Typically, speakers cost about $85,000 per pair, so this home theater set will cost at least several hundred thousand dollars. (Source: IT Home)
