Philips’ second quarter growth plan for emerging lighting designers was officially launched
On April 24, 2014, Philips’ second quarter 2014 growth plan for emerging lighting designers was launched in Chengdu. Nearly 30 domestic young lighting designers and well-known lighting design masters gathered in Chengdu to start a new journey for the growth of emerging designers, and at the same time brought a successful conclusion to the first season of the cutting-edge program. Four senior lighting design masters, Xu Dongliang, Shi Hengzhao, Yuan Qiao and Lai Yunong, who will serve as honorary mentors in the second season, also attended the launch ceremony of the 2014 Emerging Lighting Program and awarded Philips Emerging Lighting Designer Completion Certificates and Student Certificates to new and old students.
The Philips Emerging Lighting Designer Growth Program is the industry’s first comprehensive learning and communication platform tailor-made for lighting designers. With the purpose of sharing resources, growing together, and working together for win-win results, it provides a creative platform for many domestic young design elites who have good professionalism and innovative abilities and love the lighting industry. From the beginning, it has been committed to developing into a long-term and sustainable undertaking, thus injecting fresh blood into the future development of China’s lighting design.
Since the first season, the cutting-edge program has attracted the active participation of many young lighting designers. In the past year, 24 cutting-edge lighting designers stood out, showed their talents, and achieved self-growth and breakthroughs through the cutting-edge program. When describing the significance of the Emerging Talent Program to them, Fu Haoran and Cui Xiaoguang, both students in 2013, unanimously mentioned "communication" - the Emerging Talent Program provides them with the opportunity to communicate with senior designers, other designers and Philips, which is an extremely valuable sharing and growth journey for them. Professor Zhan Qingxuan, a pioneer in lighting design education in China, and Mr. Zhou Lian, president of BPI Lighting Design Company, etc.
Leading lighting design experts in the industry also fully supported the new talent program, enthusiastically sharing their life and professional experiences and answering questions for the students.
The second quarter of the Philips Emerging Lighting Designer Growth Plan is based on the theme of "Seeking Light in the City, Seeing the New Talents Wisdom", aiming to depict the future of intelligent interconnected lighting advocated and led by Philips. As a leader in the global lighting industry, Philips is committed to the innovation of LED lighting and intelligent control technology, providing digital intelligent lighting systems and services to lighting designers and end users, and working with China's young design elites to explore smart lights that make urban life better, and create an interconnected future in the field of architectural and urban landscape lighting.
In the 2014 cutting-edge plan, Philips will, as always, carefully create a "four-in-one" growth plan for students. It will take one year to provide professional support and inspiration to designers through a combination of "training and lectures, visits and seminars, project practice and industry promotion", and jointly create a high-quality cooperation platform, thereby promoting the development and improvement of China's lighting application level. On the day of the launch ceremony, as the first lesson of the second season of the Emerging Talents Program, the designer students visited the world's most advanced Philips Chengdu Lighting Application Center and intuitively experienced Philips' innovative LED lighting solutions and intelligent control
system, and unprecedented intelligent lighting applications in future cities.
As a leader in the global lighting industry, Philips has continued to pay attention to and work closely with young Chinese designers. Philips has a strong technology platform and rich lighting application experience, and is committed to helping designers better realize their design ideas by sharing its high-quality resources and platforms, while getting to know more outstanding colleagues and partners in the industry.
