Guangdong releases 2023 key project plan, including LED projects such as Hongli and Huaxing

On March 20, the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission released the "Guangdong Province Key Construction Project Plan in 2023." In 2023, Guangdong Province has arranged a total of 1,530 provincial key projects with a total investment of 8.5 trillion yuan, and an annual planned investment of 1 trillion yuan; it has arranged to carry out preliminary work for 1,090 provincial key construction preparatory projects, with an estimated total investment of 4.6 trillion yuan.

It is worth noting that the Guangdong Everbright Third Generation Semiconductor Research and Manufacturing Center Area 2 project has a total investment of 5.6 billion yuan. The project is located in Dongguan and mainly constructs MiniLED COB display module production line workshops, research institutes, pilot centers, office buildings and dormitory living facilities. The project started construction in June last year.

Guangzhou Huaxing's 8.6th generation oxide semiconductor new display device production line project has a total investment of 35 billion yuan and a monthly production capacity of 180,000 glass substrates. It is the world's only high-generation panel production line compatible with LCD, Micro LED, and IJP OLED, and can produce a series of 6-100-inch full-size display products. In September last year, the project was officially put into production in Guangzhou.

The second phase of the Hongli Optoelectronics LED new backlight display project has a total investment of 2 billion yuan and a construction area of ​​159,800 square meters. It develops and produces MiniLED, Micro LED and other light-emitting diodes, semiconductor devices, and lighting devices. The project has now entered the completion stage.

Mingcai Smart Display Manufacturing Project, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan, is located in Zhongshan. The project produces LED smart LCD TVs, LED LCD TV backlight semiconductors, LED lamp beads and other products. The project is constructed in two phases.
