dsPIC33CK256MP508-IPT development board includes dsPIC33CK development board, ISELED interface board and ISELED development board, which can simplify the design requirements of SELED automotive ambient lights and reduce design cost investment.
dsPIC33CK is a high-performance digital signal controller (DSC) from Microchip, which can bring low cost and simpler design requirements for ISELED automotive ambient lights. Its built-in CIP module (SPI, DMA, CRC, 5V I/O) is used to implement the hardware-based ISELED protocol to minimize Software intervention. Among them, independent SPI supporting 5-bit hardware mode and flexible CRC engine simplify frame creation of ISELED. DMA increases the throughput of ISELED, so complex animations and lighting effects can be achieved with this solution. The 5V I/O allows direct connection of ISELEDs without any glue logic or external level shifters, which greatly reduces system risk. In addition, dsPIC33CK also supports CAN-FD and LIN communications and a robust waterproof capacitive touch sensor, enabling the integration of advanced functions such as HMI touch.

With this solution, a maximum of 4079 LEDs can be connected in series on a single channel, and the color and brightness of each LED can be controlled independently. This can simplify the relationship between the MCU, driver chip and LED, greatly reduce the workload of the external MCU, and further avoid the disadvantages of external LED driver solutions.
