Bluetooth LED smart bulbs from Samsung

March, Samsung officially announced the new Bluetooth smart LED bulb. In the United States International Lighting Exhibition, Samsung demonstrated a new smart bulbs, which will be part of the Samsung lighting series, the focus of the industry's first mesh Bluetooth network, selling points for the smart.

Bluetooth connectivity also means that the new smart bulbs do not need a hub, the user can use the phone to connect directly to the bulb. Samsung claims that users can use a mobile phone within 600 meters radius of the control of 64 bulbs. In theory, the mesh network will be stronger and more stable with each additional bulb. It is very attractive for scalable smart home selection.

Another highlight is that the bulb can change the color temperature as needed. Whether it is a warm white 2700K or ultra bright blue 6000K, you can directly through the application control.

Samsung called this color control, similar to PHILPS (Philips) new Hue Lux LED. Hue Lux LED can also change the color temperature. Intelligent lighting can control the color of other manufacturers seem to be the only white light bulb or intelligent interest, because they provide is between the standard smart bulbs (through TCP package smart bulbs connected) and more expensive RGB color change smart bulbs (Lifx, Lumen LED and Philips Hue LED).

It is not yet known how much of the Samsung smart bulb is Watt or lumen, but Samsung said the bulb can be used for 15000 hours (according to industry standards, every day for 3 hours, available for up to 13 years). Such a lifetime can not win over other LED or other smart LED, because 25000 hours is a more common standard.

Samsung smart bulb price is not clear, but taking into account the price of Hue Lux will be $40 a light bulb, and LG recently announced the price of its smart bulbs will be slightly higher than $30. I guess Samsung's smart bulbs are between $30 and $40. International pricing has not been announced, these bulbs will be listed in several countries, not just the United states.
